Jerica’s love for events started long before The Social Butterfly. She got her start in the dance world in 2011, coordinating competitions, managing travel, and working behind the scenes of large events. Those experiences taught her how to stay organized, think on her feet, and somehow stay calm when a million things are happening at once.
During COVID, what started as a creative outlet eventually became The Social Butterfly, a balloon and event decorating business that served the Hammond area for nearly five years. Over time, the business grew beyond decorating into planning, managing details, and eventually wedding coordination. That’s when Jerica realized she had found the part of the industry she really loved.
After taking a short break from The Social Butterfly, Jerica returned to the event world as the Wholesale Event Coordinator for REBEL Athletic. It reminded her how much she loved the energy of event day, bringing all the moving pieces together, solving problems behind the scenes, and being a calm presence when things inevitably get a little chaotic.
Now, The Social Butterfly is back, reimagined and completely focused on weddings. Jerica is so excited to serve couples throughout Hammond and Southeast Louisiana again, taking the stress off their plates so they can be fully present for the moments that matter most.

She’s been part of The Social Butterfly from the very beginning, first as Jerica’s biggest supporter and sounding board, and pretty quickly becoming an essential part of the team. Through every busy season, she’s been the calm to Jerica’s storm and the person everyone can count on when there are a million things happening at once.
Many in the Hammond community know Stephanie from the Aveda Institute, where she spent years teaching and mentoring future estheticians. Her ability to guide, encourage, and genuinely care for the people around her is something you notice almost immediately.
Over the past year, Stephanie was promoted to Director of the Aveda Institute in Hammond, which makes perfect sense to anyone who knows her. She’s organized, thoughtful, grounded, and somehow always thinking three steps ahead.
She’s also incredibly loyal and selfless, and has been there through every version of The Social Butterfly. Now, she and Jerica are building this next chapter together, bringing their different strengths and years of friendship into a wedding planning experience that feels organized, personal, and genuinely supportive.
